Yu-Jin received her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Polymer Nano Science & Technology at Jeonbuk National University, South Korea under the guidance of Prof. Kwang-Un Jeong in 2020. During the Ph.D., she designed and synthesized the photo-responsive supramolecules to develop actuator and smart window. She then joined Prof. Julia H Ortony’s group in 2020 in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Massachusetts Institute Technology as a postdoctoral researcher. Her research focused on the self-assembly of achiral aramid amphiphile into helical nanostructure in water. In 2022, Yu-Jin joined the groups of Prof. Rachel Segalman and Prof. Christopher Bates at University of California, Santa Barbara as a postdoctoral researcher. She is currently interested in designing and processing new surface protecting layers for thin film and synthesizing mixed conducting polymers.
