Dr. Sanjoy Mukherjee is from Kolkata, India. After completing his undergraduate studies at the ‘University of Calcutta’, he joined the ‘Indian Institute of Science’ (IISc) for his graduate studies. In IISc, Sanjoy worked in the field of luminescent organic and organometallic small molecules under the supervision of Prof P. Thilagar. He also spent some time in the ‘University of Wurzburg’, working as a visiting student with Prof Todd B. Marder and Prof. Andreas Lorbach on organometallic boracycles. After completing his PhD in January of 2016, he joined Purdue University's department of Chemical Engineering to work with Professor Bryan W. Boudouris. He gained experience working with polymers and stable radical-based materials. In November of 2017, he joined UCSB where he worked with Prof Christopher M. Bates and Prof Michael Chabinyc in the field of bottlebrush polymers.
