Biography

Megan Murphy graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2023 with a B.S. in chemistry. At UIUC, she researched substituent effects on ring opening allene metathesis polymerization under the direction of Professor Jeffrey S. Moore. During the summer of 2022, Megan interned at HRL Laboratories where she researched broadband transparent polysulfide-based copolymers, environmental water harvesting sol-gel films, and dynamic bonding polymers. Megan is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in materials chemistry under the direction of Professors Craig J. Hawker and Christopher M. Bates.
