Biography

Mason is from Sleepy Hollow, New York. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2025 with a B.S. in Chemistry. At UNC, he conducted undergraduate research in Professor Frank Leibfarth’s group on stereoselective cationic polymerization and post-polymerization modification of polyvinyl ethers, and completed an R&D internship at Eastman Chemical Company in the summer of 2024. Mason is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Materials at UCSB under the direction of Professor Craig J. Hawker. and Professor Christopher M. Bates
